Executive Sous Chef
The position seeks an enthusiastic and innovative individual who is able to take the reins in the absence of the Executive Chef. Must be willing to manage the staff and ensure effective cost and stock control. Fresh ideas are always welcome in our environment where we aim to enhance the guest experience with great food.

Sales Executive
Our Sales Executives are target driven within this dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would be flexible and passionate, working towards the pre-set goals, pursuing potential business. Minimum requirements for the position are 1-2 years sales or marketing experience in a hospitality environment, own transport and be highly organized. The individual would need to manage their own time and effectively report on time spent.

Reservations Manager
Village and Life has a portfolio of 7 properties. Each property has its own Reservations team managed by a Junior Reservations Manager. The ideal candidate would be managing the reservations for the particular property liaising on a full time basis with the Property Managers and Property accountant. The minimum requirements for this position are a hotel diploma and/or 2 years experience in reservations.

Travel Consultant
This position is based within the consultant team for Village & Life. The Call Centre is required to meet targets, thereby requiring the consultants to upsell the properties. The ideal candidate would be German speaking, with a friendly and helpful disposition on the telephone, with strong administrative skills. Minimum requirements for this position are one years experience in a hotel or self catering environment and full knowledge of popular tourist attractions. The consultants are required to book and plan dream holidays or efficient business trip for clients.

Guest Relations Manager
The position is varied with several facets.  The ideal candidate will be an all rounder and easily adaptable. Responsible for contact with the guests, ensuring exceptional service levels to create the most enjoyable stay at The Bay Hotel. Must be energetic, innovative and “out of the box” thinker. Minimum requirements are a Hotel Management Diploma or 3 to 4 years experience on Front Office and Food and Beverage.

Hotel Receptionist
The position is based at The Bay Hotel. The Bay Hotel delivers a 5 star service and is looking to employ an individual who strives on delivering exceptional customer care and service. The minimum requirements for this position are 1 years experience in a hotel environment or a completed hotel diploma. The candidate will have visited all Cape Town’s popular tourist destinations, be able to upsell the property and be strong in administration.

Debtors Clerk
This is a challenging position for an individual has the drive for debt collection.  Duties will include invoicing, monthly recons, telephone and email communications and general administration. The ideal candidate  must be deadline driven, show initiative and be assertive. Minimum requirements are a bookkeeping qualification and/or 2 to 3 years experience in Debtors.

Conference and Banqueting Coordinator
The position entails dealing with all telephone and email enquiries, upselling our services, client contact and organizing, coordinating and hosting of events booked. Coordinators are target driven and agree to work long hours to meet the clients needs. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills and a passion for coordination. Minimum requirements are a hotel diploma or 1 to 2 years experience.

Horticulturist
Horticulture is an essential part of our business, aiming to achieve an authentic conservation environment.  The ideal candidate would have experience in indoor plant care, irrigation, and landscaping with indigenous plants, nursery and propagation. Minimum requirements for the position are a National Diploma in Horticulture and a valid driver’s license. This position would require the candidate to service all the properties within the group as needed.
